Effective this month the Digital Photography SIG will meet on the
THIRD Thursday of the month rather than the second Thursday. This
new location should be easier to reach for those coming from the
west side and less congested during rush hour. I continued to hear
from people who were unable to attend on the second Thursday. We
also had scheduling problems at both our initial location at
Microcenter and the Orange location we've enjoyed for the last three
meetings.
Our February 17th meeting will focus on Picasa, the digital image
program that is FREE from Google. Our speaker will be Phillip
Williams. Phillip is new to digital imaging but has been in
computing since 1992, working on both Linux and Windows platforms.
He hosts monthly meetings of the Linux Users Group. He has reviewed
products for Microsoft, Adobe, Corel and works as a programmer for
Excellware.
For information of this group, download instructions for Picasa, as
well as directions to the library, visit www.digitalphotosig.org.
I hope to see you on the THIRD Thursday this month, February 17th,
at the MAPLE HTS Regional branch library.
