This month's meeting will be held on WEDNESDAY, July 27th starting at
6:30 p.m.(that is different from the normal 3rd Thursday meeting
date.) The meeting will be held at the Digital Darkroom
(www.thedigitaldarkroom.biz), a facility that offers workstation
rentals, wide-format printing, and expert instruction at reasonable
prices.
The meeting location for this month will be the Digital Darkroom, 2512
Church Avenue, near the corner of West 25th and Church Street. For a
map, visit http://www.gopacleveland.org/here.html The Digital Darkroom
is located in the same building with the Gallery of Photographic Arts.
Attend this meeting to get a tour of the facility, an overview of its
capabilities including hourly rental of Mac workstations, scanners,
and large format, commercial grade, printers. (If you are considering
exhibiting your photographs, the Digital Darkroom is a good place to
print the pictures yourself using archival inks and paper, rather than
sending them to a commercial lab. They printed all the images currently on
display in the adjacent Gallery of Photographic Arts)
The Digital Darkroom is currently exploring new locations. If you are
a photographer who would like to share space and expenses with the
Digital Darkroom and have access to its equipment (including gear like
studio lights, backdrops, etc.) please attend this meeting. You'll
have an opportunity to meet the owner, William (Chip) Carter, who has
an extensive knowledge of Photoshop and digital imaging equipment and
workflow. (My earlier email described the course he is offering
starting this weekend:

Please join us for this exciting meeting.
