Two items are described below, a reminder that our meeting is next
week, not this week, and info on a photography club that meets in
our area that I just learned about.

OUR MEETING NEXT WEEK

A reminder that this month's digital Photo SIG meeting will be on
WEDNESDAY the 27th of July, (NOT the third Thursday, our normal
meeting time.)

Attend this meeting to get a tour of the Digital Darkroom, an
overview of its capabilities including hourly rental of Mac
workstations, scanners, and large format, commercial grade,
Ultrachrome Archival "Giclee" printing.

Our speaker will be the owner of the business, William ("Chip")
Carter. He is a Cleveland-based photographer who specializes in
documentary, fine art, landscape, and portrait photography. His
work has been published most recently in American Photo magazine and
Currents magazine and has been displayed in numerous venues. He
has also won numerous awards, including several first-place awards
from the Toledo Photo Arts Club. Recent commercial work includes
photographing a public art installation for Cleveland Public Art.

Chip is a 1994 graduate of Bowling Green State University, where he
was a staff photographer for the campus newspaper. Chip is also a
1998 graduate of Case School of Law, where he returned to become a
Professor of Law after several years practicing law in Washington,
D.C. He is also the owner and operator of The Digital Darkroom at
the Gallery of Photographic Arts.

Visit www.digitalphotosig.org for more information on the meeting,
including directions to the meeting.

I LEARNED OF A NEW PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB

Special Thanks to Phillip Brutz, an artist exibiting his stereo
photographs in the NEO Show at the Cleveland Museum of Art for
telling me about a photography club that I didn't know about. The
Ohio Stereo Photographic Society was formed in May 1997 to promote
stereoscopic photography among its members and to the general
public. Meetings are held every first Tuesday of the month,
September-June, starting at 7:30 pm. 30-40 members attend meetings.
Visitors are always welcome!

I've added this club to the list of links on the photosig site.
(see the "links" menu for the list)
