The dita-wikis group is dedicated to discussion of the design and uses of collaborative authoring tools based on the use of DITA as either the core or import/export content encoding. The plural name implies multiple implementations. However, the group goal is to converge all such implementations toward content interoperability, open and unified services where practical, and common best practices for users.

This scope enables consideration of topics such as wikitext/DITA conversion programs and methods, the use of DITA and specializations in collaborative writing applications, available browser-based editors or content-guiding strategies within wikis, the use of information architectures in wiki-based writing projects, and more, as long as the discussion pertains ultimately to the collaborative creation of DITA as interoperable content.
