Welcome to the Denver Metro E-Learning Developers (DMELD) e-mail list. Use this list to share meeting and industry announcements, job leads, plus tips and techniques. Your e-learning questions and discussions are invited.
Now in our tenth year, the group evolved from the Denver Metro Authorware Users Group (DMAUG). Today group members develop e-learning and multimedia using a wide variety of tools. Featured tools now include many from Adobe (Captivate, Director, Dreamweaver, Flash), along with the Articulate suite, Moodle, Rapid Intake and Wildform applications, plus various development environments. Group members write, code, and produce cross-platform programs deployed on CD-ROM and DVD, as well as on intranets and the Internet.
The group meets 3-6 times a year to share practical ideas and inspiration. Meetings have been held throughout the Denver metro area, hosted by leading organizations including Coors, Douglas County Government, IBSN, Intuit Eclipse, Janus Funds, Marc Lee Multimedia, and the Society for Technical Communication (STC). Our primary host is FX One Seven Zero Interactive Communication in Lafayette. Meetings typically feature a speaker and a topic such as audio-video production, instructional design, internationalization, programming methods, or Web integration. Hands-on examples and questions are encouraged during the informal yet educational meetings. Meetings are free and open to the public.
