Re: [dolphincadcam] Question on using dolphin's 4th axis capabilities

Hi Michael,

I finally had a chance to go thru the video. Thanks. It does help a lot,
but it still doesn't explain what the parameters in the 4th axis popup box
are. I just need some real world explanations of what exactly those values
are and how to use them.

For example:

What data am I supposed to put in Rotary axis "X" or "Y"???
What exactly is a Radius value? Is that the radius of a finished part or
unfinished part? Perhaps the bottom of the slot after cutting?

The help files/manual are not very helpful in regards to explaining what to
enter in these boxes???

It would be helpful to see some photos of a part. Mabe even a video of a
machine making a cut.

Like for example, the slot example in the videos. You made a slot that was
80mm x 20mm, yet you entered 100mm in the radius value. Why? How does that
compute?

I'm still really confused on this.

Wade
