AWelcome to the group... I'm happy to see you as a new listmember! The list has been quiet lately, but hopefully we can get some chatter going now that the show season is starting up again.
I unfortunately won't be able to make it to the meet, but I'm entering 3 Dom pullets (from your stock... they look great!) and 2 pair of Bantam Doms in the New England Bantam Club show on December 3rd. I entered some in the NH Poultry Fanciers Show, but they were the only Dominiques there. My Banty Dom cockerel did catch the judge's eye tho. I know there are a lot of Dominique owners out there... I wish more would show them... they deserve to be on Champion Row right along with the more popular show breeds!

__._,_._I am so glad to see that a Dominique site has been added to Yahoo! I
haven't had time to even go to Yahoo this past year. I did want to let
you all know that the Dominique Club of America is still in operation
despite the lack of communication from the current newsletter editor.
That is about to change and next year we are expecting great things
from the new editor and Board of Directors (BOD),to be formally
announced in Nov after the Annual meeting to be held at the
Indianapolis National Meet.
I want to thank you all for your continued support and remind you that
all of the current BOD members are working full time and raising
chickens/ farming which as I'm sure most of you realize leaves little
time for extras. Running a club is time consuming and with only 2-3
people doing all the work it is hard to get the extra stuff done. I'm
hoping that next year we will be able to not only get out an
informative newsletter (on time!) but do some major renovations on the
website. Please consider writing a short biography of your experience
with Dominiques, clip and save any references to them in the news, and
send the info to a BOD member for inclusion in a newsletter. We have
many older members who do not have access to the Internet and who want
to hear about how the younger generation is working to save Doms from
extinction!
Those of you who have time to answer questions at this site from
newbies are a big asset and I appreciate the time you spend. This is a
great link for people looking for individual responses to their
questions about our favorite chicken. Thanks!
Hope you all had a successful hatching season and your pullets are
starting to lay!
