You may want to check and see if your server's PHP configuration has "register_globals" turned off. I've found that dotcomments requires it to be on in order to function properly.

Both my sites are hosted by Dreamhost; the only thing I can see that
might possibly be a problem is that they apparently turned off the
"allow_url_fopen" PHP configuration on April 20th, but that's not
something I see in the Dotcomments scripts (just "@fopen," which I
assume is something different).
Anyone have any ideas?
