SENIOR SYSTEM SOFTWARE QA ENGINEER

RESPONSIBILITIES/DESCRIPTION:
• Integrated system drivers testing to ensure functionality and compatibility
o System test areas include storage, network, audio, and system firmware
o Create, maintain, and execute system driver test plans on a daily basis
o Create and maintain test system infrastructures
o System driver validation against system software specifications and hardware
specifications
o System software applications compatibility testing including proprietary RAID
tool ad network tool, industry standard ACPI, stress tests, benchmarks, TOE,
firewall, multimedia software, audio/video CODEC's, and etc.
o Storage device compatibility testing with SATA/AHCI/RAID controllers
o Network device compatibility testing with various network switches, hubs,
analyzers, and other traffic generation tools
o Audio device compatibility testing through HDA, HDMI, and DP equipment
• Additional responsibilities include test automation/tools development/other
programming tasks
o Create test automation scripts for various system software testing in Windows,
Linux, MAC OS
o Utilize various programming/scripting languages such as Perl, AutoIt!, Visual
Test, C#, Visual Basic
o Utilize Microsoft test management infrastructure (DTM) to enhance testing

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:
• 5+ years of QA experience with integrated systems a must
• Extensive knowledge of PC Chipset and core logic technologies a must
o Must have worked extensively on PC chipsets and core logic technologies from
Intel, NVIDIA, AMD, ATI, and/or VIA
• Extensive knowledge of all Windows operating systems (Win7/Vista/XP) a must
• Hands on experience with PC hardware/software configuration and setup a must
• Good trouble shooting and analytical skills a must
• In depth knowledge of Apple's MAC OS and other Linux OS highly desirable
• Knowledge of various storage types (PATA/SATA/SCSI/SAS) highly desirable
• Knowledge of various RAID levels highly desirable
• Knowledge of various audio technologies with HDA, HDMI, and DP highly
desirable
• Knowledge of various networking environments (Domain/Workgroup) highly
desirable
• Knowledge of various networking protocols (TCP/UDP) highly desirable
• Knowledge of server and advance server setup strongly desired
• Knowledge of using debugging tools (Windows Kernel
Debugger/Soft-Ice/Sniffer/Analyzer) strongly desired
• Knowledge of ACPI specification strongly desired
• Prior testing experience with RAID and SAS strongly desired
• Prior testing experience with NDIS strongly desired
• Prior testing experience with general PC peripherals (emphasis on
storage/network/audio) strongly desired
• Prior WHQL test experience strongly desired
• Experience with networking instruments (SmartBits/Shomiti) a plus
• Test automation experience with different OS a plus
• Experience with various high level programming languages like Perl, AutoIt!,
Visual Test, C#, Visual Basic a plus
