Description/Qualifications:
SENIOR
SYSTEM SOFTWARE QA ENGINEER
Â
RESPONSIBILITIES/DESCRIPTION:
·       Â
Integrated
system drivers testing to ensure functionality and compatibility
·       Â
System
test areas include storage, network, audio, and system firmware
·       Â
Create,
maintain, and execute system driver test plans on a daily basis
·       Â
Create
and maintain test system infrastructures
·       Â
System driver validation against system
software specifications and hardware specifications
·       Â
System
software applications compatibility testing including proprietary RAID tool and
network tool, industry standard ACPI, stress tests, benchmarks, TOE, firewall,
multimedia software, audio/video CODEC's, and etc.
·       Â
Storage
device compatibility testing with SATA/AHCI/RAID controllers
·       Â
Network
device compatibility testing with various network switches, hubs, analyzers,
and other traffic generation tools
·       Â
Audio
device compatibility testing through HDA, HDMI, and DP equipment
·       Â
Responsibilities include test
automation/tools development/other programming tasks
·       Â
Create test automation scripts for
various system software testing in Windows, Linux, MAC OS
·       Â
Utilize various programming/scripting
languages such as Perl, AutoIt!, Visual Test, C#, Visual Basic
·       Â
Utilize
Microsoft test management infrastructure (DTM) to enhance testing
Â
MINIMUM
REQUIRMENTS:
·       Â
6+
years of QA experience with integrated systems a must
·       Â
BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer
Engineering or Electrical Engineering
·       Â
4+ years of
processor verification / validation and software programming experience
·       Â
Requires strong experience in programming/scripting languages such as Perl,
AutoIt!, Visual Test,
C#, Visual Basic
·       Â
Must
have worked extensively on processor,
PC chipsets and core logic technologies from
Intel, AMD or VIA etc
·       Â
Extensive
knowledge of all Windows operating systems (Win7/Vista/XP) a must
·       Â
Hands
on experience with PC hardware/software configuration and setup a must
·       Â
Good
trouble shooting, debugging and analytical skills a must
·       Â
In
depth knowledge of Apple's MAC OS and other Linux OS highly desirable
·       Â
Knowledge
of various storage types (PATA/SATA/SCSI/SAS) highly desirable
·       Â
Knowledge
of various RAID levels highly desirable
·       Â
Knowledge
of various audio technologies with HDA, HDMI, and DP highly desirable
·       Â
Knowledge
of various networking environments (Domain/Workgroup) highly desirable
·       Â
Knowledge
of various networking protocols (TCP/UDP) highly desirable
·       Â
Knowledge
of using debugging tools (Windows Kernel Debugger/Soft-Ice/Sniffer/Analyzer)
strongly desired

Knowledge
of ACPI specification strongly desired

Prior
testing experience with RAID, SATA and SAS strongly desired
