Job Description/Qualifications:
SOFTWARE PROGRAM MANAGER
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customer SW Program Management:
* Interface with
key OEMs on software issues:
* Drive OEM issues within NVIDIA's software
engineering team
* Provide technical feedback to the OEMs
regarding the resolution of their issues.
* Help drive OEM software priorities within
NVIDIA, and champion the OEM within NVIDIA's software engineering team.
* Ensure that the OEM's experience with the
NVIDIA software team adds value to their overall relationship with NVIDIA
- Internal Project Management: Manage software releases
for new hardware and/or new software features
* Manage
software release cycle across the GPU and Chipset Software Team by working with
development leads, marketing, QA, testing and certification and documentation
teams.
* Drive all
software activities in support of new chips,
from design through production.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years in a similar or related role
- BS EE or CS
- PM Certification/training a plus
- Hands on experience with software development and
process specifically for device drivers and software application development
- Detail oriented with proven ability to multitask in a
fast moving environment with shifting priorities and changing requirements.
- Excellent communications and technical presentation
skills
- Proactive, responsive and keen on process enhancement
- Able to think strategically and tactically and to build
consensus to make programs successful
- Demonstrable ability to think outside the box to
resolve technical issues and resource conflicts in projects spanning multiple
or cross matrix organizations
- 5 years programming of a modern programming language
highly desired.
- Thorough knowledge of software engineering principles.
- Experience with MS Excel, productivity tools and
process automation in support of this role a big plus.
- Knowledge of operating systems, graphics, networking,
storage principles and standards are a plus
