As far as I know, You can't use the DTindexer to index databases.

You need to write a script or program inorder to index ADO or ODBC
connected databases.

Please see the syntax and sample program in VB

Actually, Once the database is indexed, it creates an index file. This index file is what the engine is using and does not interact directly to the database ...
