WAM JAM 2004 - Technical Conference.
The Washington Area Midrange Users Group is holding its 15th annual
technical conference, JAM 2004 on Friday October 29th, 2004 at the
University of Maryland, University College Conference Center in
College Park, MD.
This nearby conference packs a lot of great speakers and topics into a
single day of sessions. It is well worth the time, and the hardest
part is figuring out which sessions to attend. This year's iSeries
topics include:
- Upgrade your AS/400 and iSeries to V5R2 or V5R3
- WebSphere App Server - Installation, Configuration, Maintenance &
Admin
- Introduction to WebSphere HATS
- Performance Tuning Techniques
- Tricks of the Trade I
- iSeries Strategies (what built-in capabilities of OS/400 are you NOT
using?)
- Tricks of the Trade II
- Query Performance Using Visual Explain
- LPAR Implementation
plus many other iSeries topics.
AND - New this year - a whole new list of session choices covering
pSeries, AIX, Linux, and WebSphere.
All details of JAM 2004, and registration information are available at
the WAM web site:

Registration is now open. October 8th is the deadline for registration
without a late fee. If there are any questions, please call KB Soni at
301-590-7121 or email kbsoni@....
All members of DVCUG are entitled to register for JAM at the user
group member rate. This year we have expanded the scope of the
conference to include, in addition to iSeries, other topics of
interest to pSeries, AIX, Linux and WebSphere professionals.
