My name is Ronald Ferraris, and I will be relocating to the city of
Philadelphia in the next few months. My wife is accepted to the
school of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and
my job is to do everything I can to help her along. I am in the
process of selling our home, and reaching out to everyone who might
offer help in finding a new position. I found out about DVCUG
through John Voris, and he suggested I post information here. I
imagine I will become an attending member once I relocate down that
way, and I look forward to meeting everyone.

My background is all on the iSeries (AS400). I started at Liz
Claiborne in 1987, a couple months before the Silver Lake was
introduced. I tried working as a consultant in 1996, and took my
last position at my current job. After 3 1/2 years, they made a full-
time offer I couldn't refuse. I am primarily JDE since 1998, and
have worked in OneWorld since 02/2000. We are one of the only
coexistence shops I have heard about, and we have plans to move to
E11 in the next couple years. I mostly support manufacturing, and
am planning to take my last CPIM exam for APICS certification. It
will probably take me a few months to get there while I have many
others things on my plate take care of first.

Ideally, I would like to go full-time and as close to the city as
possible. I appreciate any help, and guidance you may offer, and I
look forward to meeting the group when I finally settle down that
way. Also, I am looking for a start date more toward the end of
Summer, 8/01 would be perfect. I don't see a way to post a resume
here, but I can forward all my information if requested.
