The Global Dataset can be downloaded from DWD by FTP without any
charges. For registration please click

and enter your e-mail-address. You will automatically receive your
ftp-account (user, password) by e-mail. You can then download the GDS
from our ftp-Server using these account data.
The global dataset can be used without restriction. For dissemination
and publication, also parts of it, the source "Deutscher Wetterdienst"
must be listed (or use of the DWD-logo instead). The meteorological
meaning of the data may not be changed when published.
