I have been looking at these two NOAA10/19 passes received today and I think I
know what is happening. David added a pixel readout to the viewer in the last
few days when the previous NOAA10/19 data was received. You will see it working
on the R/H side of the viewer.
When you load both these passes the LONG/LAT readings you get are over Europe
although the images are clearly not. I think that who ever supplies DWDSAT
with the passes will have the co-ordinates that DWD are wanting covered ( ie the
same coverage as applies at the moment for NOAA15 to NOAA 18 over Europe ) but
because they are using NOAA 10 and presumably its keplers they are getting the
NOAA 19 data when NOAA 10 is over Europe.
Yes just checked by putting in NOAA 10 keplers in WXtrack and that is exactly
what is happening. So in other words DWDSAT should be getting NOAA 19 over
Europe but because the data they are getting is wrongly stamped as NOAA 10 the
NOAA 19 data that they are getting is where NOAA 19 is when NOAA 10 is over
Europe.
I will copy this to the groups.
Ian.
