Dear Friends,
I think this is the best opportunity for Tamil Charecter Reformists to take
up their views in a public forum that can do something about it. They have to
cite the results of the research paper that has given results in their favour.
A lot of evidence in favour of reforms can be gathered from low level
workers, house maids and the like, who have studied atleast upto standard 5 and
atmost upto standard 8 (in Tamil schools), and discontinued thereafter due to
domestic circumstances and have to settle in petty jobs or meanial chores. They
(will) express that they have difficulties in properly recognising the vowel
marks, due to their random placements with respect to the base forms.
If they keep quiet even now, they are not doing justice to their belief!!
And they can't blame the politicians in power, that they don't care!
