Re: [eCS] dbexpert?

The application I use my dbexpert for is a litle address book
database. It is named "phonebook.dbe".
If I start dbexpert, the program starts okay. I select "open
application" and then there is a list and I pick "phonebook.dbe". It
then gives me a window titled "phonebook.dbe" with Maintable
highlighted (there is only one table in this simple application, which
I guess I named Maintable long ago). But if I click Maintable, I
get an error popup that says "error opening Table 'Maintable' and
that's it.

If I start dbexpert and select "Create application", it prompts me for
a new application name and I enter apple.dbe. It then gives me a
window titled "apple.dbe" with nothing in it and I select "New" and it
gives me an empty table with the default title "Table1". I enter
"blah" in the field name, accept Text for the field type and write
"blah" in the Description field.

Then I click Save and accept the name "table 1" and it says "error
saving table".

I have e:\dbexpert; in PATH, LIBPATH, and DPATH and C:\os2 has the
odbc* .ini files suggested.

I would love to try the dbexpert installation program if anyone could
send it to me. I only have three executables in my dbexpert
directory: dbexpert.exe, , odbcadm.exe and qeinfo.exe. There are no
command files and the readme files and onboard help do not describe
installation procedures.

Thanks.

Tim
