The Update Lists button runs “eMA Script Librarian” (an AppleScript
applet) to get the folder names from Entourage. Does this application
launch a few seconds after pressing that button?
Also, I assume that you set up the preferences first to check Entourage
as the application to archive from? Did anything happen at all? Like
any error messages, or changes to another eMA page? Please specify
these.
Since you don’t mention the eMA version, or Entourage version, it is
hard to answer for sure. Please also specify these. (Thus the
“IMPORTANT” note at the bottom of every eMA-Talk message.)
I have been using eMA successfully with Entourage X & every version of
OS X, and with Entourage 2001 & OS 9. I do not have Entourage 2004. I
also use it with Mail, which is my current default email application.
(I now have OS X 10.3.7.)
The last public version was eMA 4.02. You might want to try the beta
copy of eMA 4.03 that I mentioned on this list. I seem to remember that
it had some fix for Entourage, but I forget the details. It is at:
http://homepage.mac.com/ThinkAgain/files/eMA403b1.sit
Please use the FileMaker database supplied with eMA 4.03b1.
