eMA hasn't worked for me either - and I'm still running OS X 10.4.1! But I had
pretty much
given up since no solution (essentially the same error message as below) was
forthcoming
from this message group. I use Entourage for my email package and found that it
has the
facilities to save and recover email messages (via EXPORT and IMPORT). The
simple easy
way I've been using is to just drag the folders you want to save to a backup
media (I use a
memory stick). The key restriction using this technique is that no subfolders
get copied,
so you have to drag them unto your desktop (or directly to the backup store)
individually.
But at least it works.

restore
Entourage information".
