I’m “brand new” to eMA, and a little clued out, I’m afraid. After reading through all of John Carlsen’s excellent documentation, I’m stuck on something very simple. Hopefully someone can help me on this.
I downloaded a copy of the most recent version of eMessage Archiver from John Carlsen's web site. It is version:
eMA 4.10 beta 5 (May 2, 2007)
I've read through all the documentation, but I can’t seem to figure out how to "start" the program. I unzipped the eMA file, and placed the resulting folder in my Applications folder. Then I tried opening the file eMessage Database.ema - it opens momentarily, but then shuts down (after about 3 seconds). Same thing happens if I run the "eMessage Filer 410b5.app" application.
I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be "running" the program some other way, or if the version I have doesn't like my computer, for some reason.
I'm running the latest version of Mac OS X (Leopard, right up to date on updates) and the new version of Entourage (just released).
Am I missing something, or does anyone have some suggestions?
Thanks,
John
