This is an abundant 50 year old family farm of 45 acres in Southern Costa Rica. Our focus is to create a natural, sustainable farm that includes organic and heirloom plant culture, reforestation, and natural living in a clean, healthy environment. WWOOF volunteers have built a new dorm and an outdoor solar shower. We are beginning many projects for this farm: organic gardens, mushroom culture, composting, fruit orchards, trail making, tree nurseries for reforestation and we are looking into alternative energy sources (solar, hydro and wind). We have a 3 bedroom home, a 7 bed WWOOF dorm, tent spaces and plans to build cabanas for eco and organic culture, tourism, personal growth and Tantra seminars. If you want to learn or have ideas and skills to teach others, we welcome you to this group and to our farm. We have programs for a few days visit up to stays of a year or more. Honihawk and I, Glowingfeather, spent 3 years since the Costa Rica World Rainbow Gathering looking for land in southern Costa Rica near San Isidro and Dominical. The farm is on a ridge at 2,400 feet elevation with 3 horses, 5 cows, 1 milk cow with a baby, 5 acres of shade coffee, established fruit orchards with multitudes of bananas, plantains, coconut, star fruit, mango, and many more varieties. We are planting seeds and building new vegetable gardens. We have a new tree nursery and plan to eventually plant over 27,000 trees. We are located on an east facing hillside. There is a large river at the bottom of the land with more opportunities for creative development.
