BULLETIN ITEM: Well Wasn't THAT Slow

As posted we did have an authentic problem of assaults on the IWAY. It is
turning into the wild out there, with zombies in huge gangs crawling out onto
the freeways snarling up the daily commutes. Odds are this gets worse and
worse.

That DID slow down our traffic but I was pretty slow on the uptake. I finally
spent two hours on the phone with a dude in China who completely analyzed my
system connections. A lot of new ways to run network ping and dsl speed tests
from point to point. I am impressed. Turns out time had caught up with me in
at least a couple of ways. The DSL line connection is only giving me half of
what I am paying for but also the router had crapped out essentiallly yesterday
morning. It is amazing that the EC Bulletin even got posted on the Iway. Still
to be tested tomorrow is the modem, which he suspects is the main problem with
the slow line. These connections are five years old now, so all is likely to be
upgraded in the next week.

So, not all of our problems are sociological or imperial conspiracies There IS
bad stuff out there which needs replacing.

If you are having issues with anything computerwise, iwaywise, get er
overhauled. Upgrade. Prices are super cheap, competition is fierce. Find a
way to get the technical support people to figure it out for you. Don't pay
retail.....
