weekly newspapers,Urdu websites,launching ceremonies of poetry,short
stories books,novels,safarnamas,Urdu TV Channels,Radio programs,Urdu
films/movies,dramas/stage shows,song/ghazal singing programs etc.
are definitely proving to be greatly sucessful in promotion of URDU
in many countries of the world.
It is certainly encouraging and all possible efforts must continue
so as to make it a real Raabta ki Zuban (Lingua Franca) and also
most popular among new generation as well as the people of different
countries.
Here in the UAE,I am the founder of Urdu - Arabic , Urdu -
Regional Languages 'Sindhi,Balochi,Punjabi,Pushto and , Urdu -
Bengali , Hindi - Gujrati - English literary,cultural programs,
mushaierai in which,alongwith Urdu,we appreciate the poets and
writers to present their works in other languages with,translation
into Urdu.I and Sabiha Saba have also conducted several programs for
the children/students so that they may also have keen interest in
learning Urdu as well the regional languages.
In the past for several years,some of the mushairai/literary and
cultural programs I conducted in such a manner that,those were
presided over by the Ambassadors of Pakistan,Bangladesh,Srilanka,
Phillipine and Senior poets/writers from UAE,India,Pakistan.In one
International Arabic - Urdu Mushaira,I requested the Phillipine
Ambassador H.E Fortunato to preside.He presided over very well,read
one of my poem in URDU about the grand services of H.H.Shaikh Zayed
Bin Sultan Al-Nahyyan and performed beautifully,the launching
ceremony of Renowned Urdu Poet Ahmad Faraz's poetry book.
I suggest that those who can manage or afford,may please
start 'free language learning classes two days a week' so that the
young boys and girls studying in "English Medium Schools" in
Pakistan,India,USA,Canada,European,Asian,Middle Eastern,Far Eastern,
African countries,Australia,Russia,China,Bangladesh,CIS countries
etc. may also have interest in reading,writing,speaking Urdu.
The friends who arrange literary and cultural programs in
different important parts of the World should invite the
Ambassadors,Diplomats,people of different countries in the Urdu ,
Urdu - Regional Languages , Urdu - Bengali , Urdu - Hindi /
English / Gujrati programs etc. so that more and more people of
various nationalities may also be attracted to learning "URDU".

To construct a '*triple* qaafiya' Ghazal is a hard task in itself;
to come up with one that uses language that flows off the your tongue
as smoothly as this one, is even more amazing.

It would great if urdu poets in US & Canada make an effort to re-
start the tradition of tarhi ghazal / mushairas' - may result in
creating a new passion for the language in its fine classical form.
