Dan --
I just went through this when my Palm Vx died, and I replaced it with a TE.
Initially, the Hoots procedure did not work for me under WinXP Home.
However, I found the T3 instructions somewhat daunting, because they just
aren't as clearly articulated as Tom Hoots' were. I believe I ended up
incorporating certain aspects of the T3 procedure to make everything work;
unfortunately, I did not document the steps I took.
I can tell you that the TE installs additional conduits that which are not
addressed in the Hoots instructions, but need to be addressed to make the
sync work. In my case, I now have a functional, but not perfect, sync, in
that modifications to an appointment on the palm do NOT sync back to ECCO. I
find this very frustrating, but have not been able to isolate the cause. I
don't remember if I posted about this or not.
Please share your experiences when you start the process. And let me know if
I can help, if you need some assistance straightening it out.
Steve
