Subject: [ecomas] Mas and EC request for advice
I am developing a Multiagent system for data collection.
I have been reading recently some papers on EC and Genectic Algorithms.
But still lack the necessary knoledge to evaluate their true potential
and aplication power to my needs. I seek some advice on the following
problem. I have several agents that are in charge of colecting
references to documents and collecting the referenced documents. All
this happen in a assyncronous and autonumous ways. The colecting
actions, on the current stage of development, are triggered in a ciclic
behaviour. I can gather profiling data of the amount of reports and its
distribution along the day. I would like to optimize the execution
process by changing cyclic actions frequency in order to deal with
bandwidht/resources constrains. Do you think it could be a problem
solved by an EC approach. The environment constraints (reports rate of
production, resources , load) change dynamically but there are some
hourly patterns on document rate of production. Basically can EC
techniques help on the estimation of ciclic parameteres of agent
behaviours.
Thanks
Pedro Marques
