Anyone care to refute or affirm ...
"War Keynesianism" points out that war production
does not have to be sold on the consumer market
and is either blown up or becomes obsolete. This
has the effect of smoothing out the business
cycle in times when inventories become high and
the consumer market is glutted. Keynes believed
in alleviating the results of over-production
and under consumption by government spending on
public works. It was not successful. War
Keyensianism has been successful for a long
time, but eventually has to fail because it
increases the forces of production e.g. new
mines, technologies, and factories. We have
been living under a war driven economy for
the past 60 years.
