It's me, Teddy Baguilat Jr. I haven't been
attending our PEN meetings because I have been going
to Ifugao for our terraces NGO and accepting some
UNESCO invitations overseas.
But I am now based in Manila. I wrote to tell you
that I am now with the CITY DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES
based at the League of Cities of the Philippines. This
is a World Bank project aimed at capacitating 41 Phil
cities to map out a development strategy addressing
long-term issues using the participatory process.
My job is to be its knowledge manager. Our website
is www.cdsea.org.
Anyway, I thought that PEN can help this project
because most of the proposals being developed under
CDS tackle sanitation and environmental concerns.
Through our network, I wish to facilitate the
exchange of information for the use of the Philippine
cities in their development plans and in the packaging
of proposals for WB.
I hope I can get useful articles about ecosan
that I can post in the website.
Already, I am asking permission to use the
article on the wetlands of BAyawan City which is an
active member of CDS.
I hope I can attend the next meeting.
