Invitation to "ECOSAN" - Huber Technology Prize (Award) Competition in
2008

I guess this ecosan-news is worthwhile to be spread around to many
"ecosan" students and Phd-"students" .

During already mentioned Symposium: Water Supply and Sanitation for
All – Obligation of water professionals for our common future, in
Berching, Germany on 27-28.09.07 was on display an invitation by
German Huber Company (Huber Technology Foundation) to take part on a
"ECOSAN" Technology Prize (Award) for the upcoming IFAT 2008 (15th
International Trade Fair for Water - Sewage - Refuse – Recycling in
Munich, http://www.ifat. de/en/).

"Subject of Technology Prize 2008:
Wastewater – a source of
* energy
* nutrients
* water

The prize will honour ideas, concepts and results of research that are
an innovative contribution to the reuse of energy and valuable
materials from wastewater.
… develop and provide innovative methods on the sectors of planning,
process engineering, operating management and control."

Material to be submitted:
* Personal data sheet (tabular Curriculum Vitae)
* Brief, concise and generally understandable abstract of the
competition papers (not longer than two A4 pages)
* Poster (A0) presenting the starting situation, idea or
concept, methods applied and results
* Optionally a CD with demonstration material (maximum play times:
3 minutes)

Evaluation criteria:
The focus of the jury evaluation will be on the following criteria:
* Innovation degree
* Creativity
* Functionality
* Acceptance prospects
* Profitability
* Economic benefit

Probably as well a clever and competitive way (Euro17,500 ++) by the
company to look for new innovative R&D-colleagues and new ideas for
ecosan solutions ;-)
