Jane Goodall Institute (Singapore)
Title General Manager, Jane Goodall Institute (Singapore)
Key Responsibilities
➢ Establish & manage the office for the Jane Goodall Institute (Singapore)
(JGIS)
➢ Provide support for Roots & Shoots groups in Singapore
-Recruit new Roots & Shoots groups through presentations to schools &
companies
-Support activities for existing Roots & Shoots groups
-Organize or coordinate activities for Roots & Shoots group members
➢ Develop, produce & distribute JGIS communications
-Develop & manage the JGIS web site, with appropriate tools
-Produce & distribute a monthly JGIS newsletter
➢ Raise funds for JGIS
-Develop fund-raising initiatives
-Present funding requests
-Support donors
➢ Coordinate JGIS administrative activities
-Liaison with JGI headquarters and other offices
-Development & maintenance of a member database
-Resource database
-Manage JGIS accounts & financial reporting accurately & transparently
➢ Other duties
Key Requirements
➢ Strong multi-level presentation skills, with target audiences including
students & CEOs
➢ Strong writing skills
➢ Ability to work with JGI members and supporters ranging from young
students and teachers to senior management and senior citizens
➢ A creative approach to achieving maximum results with limited resources
➢ A passion for taking informed and compassionate action to improve the
environment of all living things.
➢ University degree preferred
The position reports to the Board of the Directors of the Jane Goodall
Institute (Singapore).
