*Introduction*

The Campus Sustainability Officer is responsible for the development,
management and delivery of the university's environmental awareness and
outreach programmes. The successful applicant will join a core team of staff
from different offices to support the university in its implementation of
environmental improvement projects.

The Campus Sustainability Officer will work in collaborative partnerships
with other campus units/departments as well as other government agencies
such as NEA, South West CDC and NGOs. Additional information about Campus

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Plan outreach and awareness building programmes to support
the university's environmental sustainable strategies in areas ranging from
resource conservation, energy efficiency, recycling and nature conservation.


2. Specifically, this would include:

a. Coordinating, organising and leading NUS CSC volunteers for volunteer
work on reforestation activities in Kent Ridge Park and the NUS Campuses,

as well as cultivation of native plant species at the NUS Native Plant
Nursery.

b. Developing storyboards for the Kent Ridge Heritage Trail.
c. Facilitating and assisting the student environmental group (NUSSU
SAVE) in the implementation of their programmes
d. Organising trips and talks

3. Manage and update CSC website

4. Monitor, measure and analyse success of such implementation.
Compile factual and interpretative reports.

5. Provide secretariat support to the Campus Sustainability
Committee (CSC)



Qualifications and Experience:

1. General or Honours degree preferably in Botany. Fresh
graduates may apply.

2. A passion for the environment and preferably with experience
in outreach and volunteer programmes.

3. Internet savvy. Knowledge in website updating

4. Able to work to budget and timescales

5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to
effectively communicate with faculty, staff, students and other team members



Terms:

1 year renewable contract
