the Biology curriculum.

The School of the Arts (SOTA) is set up by the Ministry of Information,
Communications and the Arts. SOTA is Singapore’s first national pre-tertiary
specialised arts school. For youths aged 13 - 18 who have an interest and
talent in the visual and performing arts, SOTA offers a dedicated
development path, providing them with a new teaching and learning
environment where both their artistic and academic potential can best be
realised.

As part of our expansion plans, we are pleased to invite applications for
the position of:

*Head of Department*

- Dance
- Science

The Heads of Department will plan and develop the SOTA curriculum and
programmes leading to the International Baccalaureate Diploma in the
respective disciplines. They will take on an active role as a teacher in
addition to managing and developing their team of faculty members.

Applicants should have:

- At least a Masters Degree or professional qualification in the chosen
discipline
- A strong commitment to and passion for the arts and education
- A broad and thorough knowledge of the teaching subject
- Expertise in planning and developing pre-tertiary curriculum
- Relevant experience heading a subject or department in the education
sector, or equivalent leadership experience
- Self-motivation and be innovative
- The ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
- Exposure to or knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Diploma
programme is an added advantage
