Your right, this is a very new list.
What would you like to do with CSS, anything specific that we can start
with?

Hi John just thought I'd better wish good luck and all success with
your new group.Just been to the edit plus site looks like a good
editor will have to install it and give it a whirl to see how it
performs
Thanks for the encouragement.
You can customize EditPlus to suit your needs.
Can you believe how fast it loads?
Awesome!
I will upload some of my Cliptext files and you will see how I have been
setting up mine copy. (you can download them and unzip them to your EditPlus
Directory) I have saved the best Javascripts from all the other editors, and
where-ever I could find them...now there are hundreds. (they just need to be
organized better) My code snippet files I think are second to none.

I have uploaded my editplus files to the group.
Remember, these are a work in progress. Some of the Javascripts still
need to be organized...as you will see I started this..but it needs
to be finished.
I think you will find these to be very helpfull.
Download the file, unzip and place in the
C:\Program Files\EditPlus 2 directory
(if you have already customized your copy of editplus, you may want
to make backups before you use these files)

Hello,
This email message is a notification to let you know that
a file has been uploaded to the Files area of the editplus
group.
File : /tools.zip
Uploaded by : jmmorse@...
Description : unzip these files into your EditPlus Program directory (you will
be impressed!)
You can access this file at the URL
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/editplus/files/tools.zip
To learn more about file sharing for your group, please visit

Regards,

First make a backup of your C:\Program Files\EditPlus 2 directory.
You can do this by coping the whole file and pasting it on your desktop.
When you download the "tools.zip" file.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/editplus/files
Unzip it into this directory:
C:\Program Files\EditPlus 2
(when prompted, just click yes to overwrite everything that it asks)
When you click on the tools menu from the top, you will notice several new
tools. There will be some however that you will have to obtain and install
yourself (such as CSE HTML Validator, Dreamweaver, Frontpage) But the
majority of the tools listed will work as they are in the C:\Program
Files\EditPlus 2 directory.
Also click on file, then new, then HTML file and then you will notice the
HTML Toolbar....Now insert a table...Nice huh?
Now open up the cliptext files....impressive huh?
Notice all the hundreds of scripts? Notice the complete table attributes,
Image attributes, etc... etc...
I'll tell you some more of the benefits of these files later....
enjoy!

Here is an example of a site made with Escapde that uses a GUI.
http://www.escapages.com/ttg.html
This is a working demo of a live site that is 100% owner maintained.
Past
the index.html page of the live site, every word of text that you see
on the
screen comes from a database that the owner controls.
Feel free to play with it all you like. It's a demo we show to
clients. It
is live, populating from the database, right up until the UPDATE,
INSERT, or
DELETE commands, which have been disabled for the demo (of course!!)
The instruction page is blank currently (that big white screen you
see), but
it's pretty simple. Click on a section from the top menu and a
second level
menu opens underneath. Click on one of the second level links and
that
particular data opens. From there, it should be self-explanatory.
Good News! The EditPlus group now has a link on the EditPlus website!
http://www.editplus.com/feedback.html
(thanks for the suggestion DAI)

I thought that the .acp files gave you the ability to type one or two
characters of a tag or attrib. and it would drop down a list to choose what
to fill it in with....if this is not the case then what do .acp files
do....I am editing HTML and have an HTML.acp file in settings and syntax but
it hasn't changed anything in the way of coding tags?.....

If you had an html.acp file as follows:
#TITLE=HTML
; EditPlus Auto-completion file v1.0 written by Your Name.
#CASE=n
#T=bod
<BODY>
^!
</BODY>
#
If you type bod (lower or upper case) and then hit the space bar the
following code would be inserted into your HTML document:
<BODY>
</BODY>
This is what the acp file does. It does not invoke a drop down list
box, but that would be a nice feature in a future version.
Compiling my .java programs under Windows 98
works just fine until i tried modifying CLASSPATH
in my autoexec.bat file (another program required it).
Now javac can't find any of the other .java files
(in the same directory as the program i am editing
and compiling). Am i missing something very simple?
