That "oily" substance is actually a by-product of the foam shutter damper deteriorating. It _can_ be cleaned off, but unless the cause of the problem is

Thanks for all your inputs! And I realize that it is workign fine with a different lens. It is not ok with kit lens28-90mm, 50f 1.8 (ya not even this 1)..
