I think there are chokes which use aluminium wires, but due to oxidation and
corrosion etc. joints are not relaible. Of course I am not an expert yet I do
have some practical experience. The best known solution could be to crimp and
then put Araldite or any Epoxy sealant. But do remember that Aluminium is less
conductive than Copper, therefore volume of winding would increase, so take care
of overloading. You should put a search on Google too, may have someone have
attained the problem.
