If you've tried using Keyman 5 for Unicode typing with Word 2000 on a
Window 9x or Me setup you've probably found it wouldn't work. Keyman
provides the "wordlink" resource to enable Word 97 and 2000 to accept
Unicode on these systems:

Unfortunately Word 2000 still needs more encouragement than what the
instructions indicate. The solution: after you have opened the
"wordlink.zip" move the files "keyman_unicode.dot" and "WordLink.wll"
to
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Startup
Then when you start MS Word it should work correctly when you select a
Unicode font and select your Keyman keyboard.
