Hi Hilary,

For basic information about camera operation, try a basic photography
course. You could start with the articles at http://photo.net/learn/

Your question about "Reddish tint" brings up a lot of possibilities.
It might help to post a small copy of the picture (for instance,
using the Group's Photo's area).

How did you view the image? On the camera LCD? On a television?
On the computer monitor? Or on photographic print?
