I just purchased the EOS 1DS Mark III and installed the EOS Digital
Solution Disk. The EOS Utility 2.2 will always give the error of The
software has encountered a problem and will close. No additional
information is available. The other Canon software installed with no
problems. I have uninstalled and cleaned out any empty folders along
with any Canon reference in the Registry. Windows Xp Sp2 with 2gb ram.
I had previously used the soulution disk with a EOS 1DS Mark II, It
worked with no problem. I called and spoke to Canon T/S today with no
results, we did the EOS Utility upgrade software on the Canon web
site. No change.
I would appreciate any ideas. I am ready to pull out whatever hair I
have left on my head.
