Dear SWE Collegiate Member,

Welcome back to school. With the summer over and school in session, now is as good a time as any to start planning for next summer. Yes, that's right, next summer. Maybe there's a company at which you would love to intern next year? Maybe you'll be graduating in May and would like to begin your job search? This is such an exciting point in your life--a time of unlimited possibilities and new directions ahead of you.

One place to start searching for those opportunities is right at your finger tips-the new and improved  SWE Career Center. While the professional world can seem a bit daunting and overwhelming to aspiring interns and graduates, the process of getting yourself-and your résumé-noticed doesn't have to be. SWE is the perfect resource for companies to find qualified engineers and technologists.You can be sure a prospective employer is searching for your skill set, your degree, and your ambition. 

Reminder: résumés that were posted on SWE's old Career Center were not transferred to the new site. You must repost in order for employers to find you!

And one place to connect with companies is at the 
Career Fair November 7 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. during SWE's National Conference in Baltimore, MD. With more than 200 leading corporations, government agencies and graduate schools exhibiting, this is the perfect place to explore future career prospects. But companies can only find you if your résumé is in the SWE database. Many companies pre-schedule conference interviews exclusively with candidates sourced from the Career Center.

Don't miss out: between September 9 - September 29, SWE members who post their résumés in the new and improved Career Center  are automatically entered into a drawing to win one of three prizes: a $200 Visa gift card, a $100 Visa gift card, or SWE Interviewing Toolkit --complete with a SWE Vinyl portfolio, SWE engraved business card holder, several professional development Web seminar DVDs, an interviewing checklist and article reprints to help with your professional development, as well as some fun SWE merchandise, including a tumbler, post-it notes, notepad, and pens.

• Go to "Sign In" to create your account and then post your Résumé
