if you are interested in Outreaching to young children and showing how math and science is fun then i highly recommend you to participate in these activities listed below! The Director of the Office of Diversity Initiatives has sent me this information and needs our help!

Dear Colleagues:
We will be engaging in our once a month hands-on activity with Campbell
Middle School on Feb. 17th. This month, we will be making Solar Cars.
We need volunteers. I was hoping that you could send this out to your
groups.
Jennifer MacRae, my student assistant in charge of outreach
coordination, may have already contacted you earlier this month. Many
of you have helped at all of our outreach programs, and I want to thank
you very much. You are certainly touching young lives and helping to
ignite interest in math and science. Our program at Campbell involves
over 300 students in the 6th grade. We will need approximately 13
volunteers to help my student assistants, Jennifer MacRae & Sarah
DuPree, both AE majors. (See chart below)
We also have another opportunity for volunteers to help at the Cypress
Creek Elementary School in Port Orange. We have 50, 4th & 5th graders
there. We'll be launching water and air rockets on Thursday, Feb. 26th
and will need six volunteers -- 3 males and 3 females.
Please see the chart below and if you have any students interested in
helping, please let me know the times for which they can sign up.
Please email me or Jennifer MacRae with the names and contact emails of
any volunteers for either Campbell on the 17th or Cypress Creek on the
26th.
