| Hi Peg, Nice photo! We've had so much rain nobody around here is able to get their hay in. We still have a little left from last fall and can sell it now for $5 a square bale! Fun to see Copper and Maggie, grandparents of my new pup Foothills Joe. He has Copper's wide cheek hair! Lately I've been remembering that photo of Copper as a puppy following a chicken, because Joe's taken to rounding up the chickens in the late afternoon. He's not quite sure what to do with them yet, but he knows they're supposed to head in that time of day. He starts a little early so they go into the barn then come back out, which is great for now! When he was eight weeks old we held him while we were bringing the turkey hen with her chicks in from the field. It was a super slow walk with lots of long pauses because the poults were young. I think Joe learned a lot on those five or six walks because he's got the nicest slow way of moving the chickens. Yea! Suzanne --- On Fri, 7/3/09, plegertsen <plegertsen@...> wrote:
