Hi Mike,
There has been a change
in Mozilla 1.8 (I guess it is a security enhancement) which prevented the
previous Esker ActiveX Plug-in mechanism for installing ActiveX (using a
separate HTML installation page). This is why I had to change the HTML pages of
the demo for the Esker ActiveX Plug-in 7.93. So, there is no reason that the
new mechanism would not work for previous versions of Mozilla.
But unfortunately, I also
tried and it does not seam to work ;-(
Coincidences happen
sometimes ;-)
I tried to fix this issue
but could not figure what is going wrong.
So, I think we will stick
to the new HTML page model for the newest versions of the browsers (Mozilla 1.8
and higher) and to the old HTML page model for the older versions of the
browsers…
... unless someone comes
with a better HTML page model for automatic installation of the Esker ActiveX
Plug-in and ActiveX…

Plug-in] Re: Esker ActiveX Plug-in 7.92
Nicolas,
The tictacto demo with version 7.92 works fine in Netscap 8. The
tictacto demo uses a html page for installation of the plug-in. I
have tried to install version 7.92 the same way version 7.93 is
installed (without using a html page). I cannot get this to work. Is
it possible in Netscape 8?
Thanks,
Mike
