Well, it doesn't look like anyone's home. eWorld was great! I had it
before they had the ramp to the Internet. I ordered the disks, and they
never came. Next thing I knew eWorld was roadkill on the information
superhighway. Too bad. But it was overpriced, and had such a small
universe of users, there was no way it could have survived.
I see this little discussion group has been overrun by obnoxious
pornsite lures. A sad state of affairs. Especially when you think back
on how squeaky clean the chat rooms were on eWorld. I got my hand
slapped once for making a very tame double entendre. Those were the
days.
It is too bad that eWorld can't be revived in some small way. After the
lights went out I signed up for AOL and was underwhelmed. So I ventured
out into the big, bad Internet through a local ISP and discovered I
could stay online AS LONG AS I WANTED without racking up huge
connection fees.
Boring.
I guess my tale of woe is no different from anyone else's.
See ya 'round campus.
