External Entity versus Terminator   Message List

In the two xUML books that I own, i.e. Raistrick et at (the purple
book), and Mellor and Balcer (the white book), it seems that "External
Entity" stereotyped classes and "Terminator" stereotyped classes are
essentially the same thing. Can anyone offer some insight?
