Stephen Hawking launches exopolitics debate

Exopolitics involves study of the public policy implications of extraterrestrial life. Hitherto confined to esoteric discussions between intellectuals, researchers and ‘experiencers’ on the fringes of mainstream academia, world famous British physicist, Professor Stephen Hawking, now publicly approves exopolitical discussions. In a new documentary series that began Sunday night, April 25, on the Discovery Channel, Hawking claims that the high mathematical probability that alien life exists, makes reflection on their possible motivations necessary. While Hawking does not mention the word ‘exopolitics’ his statements legitimate efforts to study the public policy implications of extraterrestrial life. Hawking’s statements are the logical development of recent scientific conferences studying the implications of alien  life. In the last six months, both the Vatican and the Royal Society of London have held astrobiological conferences studying the implications of life found on other worlds. Hawking’s documentary series indicates his approval of scientists making public policy recommendations on the hitherto fringe topic of extraterrestrial life. Hawking's own recommendation is to ignore intelligent aliens, they might be dangerous!

Governor IKirsan Ilyumzhinov meeting former President Vladimir Putin

In an extraordinary television interview, the Governor of the Russian Republic of Kalmykia, Kirsan Ilyumzhinov who is also President of the World Chess Federation, claimed that in 1997 he was taken from his penthouse apartment on board an extraterrestrial vehicle. Ilyumzhinov claims that the extraterrestrials he met were humanoid and gave him a tour of their ship, and even took him to another world. According to Ilyumzhinov, his experience is backed by three witnesses who searched for him at his home after he had boarded the alien spaceship. Most revealing is that Ilyumzhinov appeared on Russia’s no.1 rated television station, Channel One, which is 51% controlled by the Russian government. The interviewer, Vladimir Pozan, began the segment with questions about Ilyumzhinov’s experience. This reveals that the host and producers knew in advance of what had happened, and wished to discuss it on air. Significantly, there was no censorship of Ilyumzhinov’s experience which was immediately made available on the Channel One website. At the very least, this signifies that the Russian government remains open to public debate on extraterrestrial life sparked by its most prominent television station. More importantly, the airing of Ilyumzhinov’s experience may signal a covert attempt by Russian officials to prepare its citizens for eventual public disclosure of extraterrestrial life.

Eisenhower briefed about extraterrestrials claims former New Hampshire State Rep

Eisenhower returns to Washington DC on Feb 13, 1955 after alleged ET meeting

A former representative to the New Hampshire House of Representatives has released a video statement revealing he saw a secret brief to President Eisenhower concerning extraterrestrial life. Henry W. McElroy, a Republican, served on various committees during his time in the New Hampshire State legislature, and is best known for sponsoring a New Gold Money bill in 2004 that aimed to restore the use of Gold and Silver coins in the Granite State. He most recently ran for and won the Republican primary for State Representative to the 2008 elections but did not win re-election.  In his statement, recorded on May 8 in Hampton Virginia, McElroy claims that the brief revealed that extraterrestrials were present in the United States, they were benevolent, and a meeting could be arranged for Eisenhower.

Does exopolitics make the scientific study of UFOs a dead end?

The study of UFOs is commonly assumed to have began on June 23, 1947 with a sighting in Washington State by a respected local pilot Kenneth Arnold. After an interview describing what he saw, the crescent shaped objects were quickly dubbed by the media ‘flying saucers.’ Subsequent books by Major Donald Keyhoe (ret. USMC) and other popular authors of the time increasingly came to the conclusion that flying saucers were extraterrestrial in origin. The term ‘flying saucer’ more and more became associated with the extraterrestrial hypothesis. If one spoke of flying saucers, it was accepted that one was talking about technologies that had an other-worldly origin, and this had important public policy implications. Keyhoe eventually realized that the highest echelon of the military leadership in the U.S. were very anxious to cover up the extraterrestrial explanation, and ignore the conclusions of investigations conducted by even their own senior technical specialists.

Exposure of US Navy source on UFO UN discussions omits retired Navy Scientist testimony

An ‘exposé’ has appeared on a prominent internet forum that claims a U.S. Navy officer (Source A) divulging information about covert operations involving extraterrestrial life and secret UN discussions on UFOs is a fraud. One of the founders of Reality Uncovered, Stephen Broadbent, used photos from a recent New York luncheon involving Admiral Gary Roughead, Chief of Naval Operations, to ‘out’ the officer as Richard Thielman (aka Source A). After further internet research, Broadbent goes on to conclude. “We have found evidence that shows that Richard hasn’t worked for the military since at least 2001, but possibly much earlier than that.” Among the implications of Broadbent’s ‘exposé’ and ‘outing’ is that the alleged February 2008 UN discussions on UFOs never took place, and that a secret Navy extraterrestrial liaison program is fictitious. The problem is that the same source Broadbent uses to finally confirm the ‘outing’ of the officer in question, a retired Navy Scientist, undermines his alleged ‘exposé’.  Conveniently, Broadbent ignores key questions that arise from the ‘outing’ that lead to a contrary conclusion to his ‘exposé’. According to the scientist, Dr Bruce Maccabee, the officer in question had high security clearances in order to visit him unescorted at a secure Naval facility in 2008. That supports his claims that he was a covert operative for classified programs involving senior US Navy personnel.

Should extraterrestrials stop the Gulf Leak? - 10,000 sign petition for ETs to show up

As the BP oil leak continues into its eighth straight week, environmental catastrophe threatens local residents and the marine life of the Gulf of Mexico. There have been many failed attempts to stop the spill by BP which has succeeded so far in only slowing the leak. The prospects of removing the oil polluting the Gulf of Mexico are not good, and it may be years before the toxic oil and dispersants used on it will be removed using current technologies available to the oil industry. Now some have begun to ask whether the solution lies in advanced technology being released that is extraterrestrial in origin, and has been kept secret in classified military projects. Some go a step further and are calling for alien intervention to stop the leak. A petition calling for extraterrestrials to show up and assist humanity on a range of global problems passed 10,000 signatures around the same time as the Gulf oil leak appeared. Signatories believe that a request by the general public for assistance will be heard and answered by extraterrestrials monitoring Earth, who are waiting for public requests to intervene to assist in global problems such as the Gulf oil leak.

China UFO photo mixed with fakes in psyop to thwart disclosure

On July 9, 2010, The People’s Daily of China ran a story about a UFO witnessed by hundreds over China on July 7. The UFO closed down Xiaoshan Airport, which serves the city of Hangzhou, for an hour; and Air Traffic controllers could not identify the UFO. An official investigation was subsequently launched. A resident took a photo of the cigar shaped UFO that was cited in the People’s Daily story (image on right). Together with radar evidence, the photo has been widely circulated in the mass media as physical evidence of a UFO responsible for closing down a busy regional airport. However, shortly after the People’s Daily story, the photo was included with four others on Godlike Productions, a popular U.S. internet forum. The problem was that the four other photos were unrelated to the China incident and/or fakes. The fakes were included with the genuine UFO China photo in a Youtube video that went viral. Was it simply a mistake, or had a psychological operation begun to downplay the significance of the China UFO incident by mixing a genuine photo with fakes.

Washington Post report supports accounts of military personal keeping UFO secrets from commanders

Vice-Admiral Thomas Wilson denied access to UFO secrets

The Washington Post has begun publishing the results of a two year investigation into the world of Top Secret programs in the U.S. Titled: Top Secret America, the investigation aims to expose the waste, redundancy and lack of oversight of many of the Top Secret programs created in response to the 911 attacks. More specifically, it states: “The top-secret world the government created in response to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, has become so large, so unwieldy and so secretive that no one knows how much money it costs, how many people it employs, how many programs exist within it or exactly how many agencies do the same work.” One of the findings of the report is that the military chain of command is routinely undermined as personnel are ordered not to reveal their activities to their commanding officers. This supports the claims of whistleblowers who have come forward to reveal cases of military personnel being ordered not to tell commanders about Top Secret programs to which they had been recruited. The programs in question concerned UFO technology and extraterrestrial life, and commanding officers denied access included senior admirals and generals.

Galaxy is rich in small, Earth-like planets

Video has recently emerged of a speech by Professor Dimitar Sasselov, Harvard astronomer and co-investigator of NASA's Kepler Space Telescope, where he declared that the "Galaxy is rich in small, Earth-like planets." His speech was given at a Technology Entertainment and Design conference at Oxford University in mid-July where speakers are limited to 18 minutes on the latest scientific trends. The Kepler telescope uncovered evidence of up to 140 different planets similar in size to the Earth. Sasselov believes that the discovery amounts to a Copernican revolution where a clear affirmative answer is given to the question: “Are there other Earth like planets out there that can harbor life?” Significantly, Sasselov asserts that the evidence points to more earth-like planets in the galaxy than gas giants as previously thought. Estimates of earth-like planets in the galaxy could be quickly revised up to 100 million or more. Most importantly, he says that the data allows scientists to scan exoplanets for tell tale signs of life. Sasselov’s findings is good news for researchers in the fields of astrobiology and exopolitics since it encourages more scientific inquiry into the implications of intelligent extraterrestrial life.

Chinese researchers dismiss UFO photos while authorities remain silent

A joint team of UFO investigators from Beijing and Shanghai traveled to the city of Hangzhou to investigate the closing of the nearby Xiaoshan International Airport on July 7, 2010. They interviewed civilians that took photos of what appeared to be a UFO in the vicinity prior to the airport’s closing for about an hour from 9 pm. Two photos were included in the initial news story by China Daily on July 9 about the airport incident that said that the UFO had been detected by aviation officials that subsequently closed the airport. Strangely, the July 7 photos were included with other non-related photos/film of misidentified UFOs in the Western media in what appeared to be an effort to obfuscate what had happened at Hangzhou’s airport. The joint China UFO investigatory civilian team has just announced that the photos taken on July 7 were of a misidentified airplane in the vicinity of the airport. Efforts by the same UFO investigators to get more information from Chinese aviation authorities of radar evidence and/or anomalies related to the airport closing were unsuccessful. In addition to what appeared to be a U.S. media effort to obfuscate the China UFO event, official Chinese authorities simultaneously went into shutdown mode after the initial news reports circulated widely in the Chinese media. What was the UFO that led to the airport closing – a misidentified plane, a classified national security project, or a genuine extraterrestrial vehicle?

Purple Mountain Observatory - China

In a speech at a science forum held in the city of Guangzhou on August 23, a veteran Chinese astronomer with almost 40 years experience claimed that some UFOs are extraterrestrial spacecraft. Professor Wang Sichao is a planetary astronomer at the Purple Hills Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Based on scientific observations of UFOs over his 39 year career, he has concluded that some are powered by antigravity devices. Also, in contrast to Professor Stephen Hawking, who recently declared intelligent extraterrestrial life was likely to be predatory in nature, Wang dismissed such thinking as premature. He claimed some extraterrestrials are visiting Earth in a Research and Development capacity, and are therefore friendly enough to begin cooperation and mutual exchanges. A summary of Wang’s speech was reported by a number of China newspapers including the influential People’s Daily Online. This ensures wide coverage in China, and raises the following question. Are Chinese authorities tacitly encouraging an ‘exopolitics debate’ over the motivations of advanced alien life in order to prepare the Chinese and world public for the inevitable official disclosure of the existence of extraterrestrials?

A new book by Leslie Kean proposes a militant solution to the UFO phenomenon. UFO’s are real and elements within the U.S. government is covering them up, but we need to avoid the danger of assuming that they’re extraterrestrial visitors. UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials (Harmony Books, 2010) is an impressive book that conclusively shows the reality of the UFO phenomenon by focusing on the testimonies of senior military officers, aviation officials and former government figures. Yes, UFOs are real, and skeptics have it wrong when trying to debunk the voluminous evidence showing how serious UFOs are for the aviation industry and the national security apparatus. And, yes, elements of the US government is covering up the data, or at least the lack of knowledge among the vast majority of government officials about the UFO phenomenon. But the real danger is assuming that UFOs are extraterrestrial visitors, and concluding this is why a cover up is underway by some elements of the U.S. and other governments.

[Honolulu Exopolitics Examiner - 8/29/10] On August 13, live video was taken of a UFO that emerged out of Mt Adams, Washington State, and flew in the vicinity of 15 people at a private retreat at nearby Trout Lake. According to James Gilliland, owner of the Enlightened Contact with Extraterrestrial Intelligence (ECETI) Retreat, he saw the UFO emerge from what he claims to be a massive ‘interdimensional door” at Mt Adams that is seen as a point of light on the video. The object flew approximately 13 miles towards Gilliland’s ECETI retreat. At one point, the object was only 26 feet above the ground and roughly 50-75 meters away. After stalling out several times, an initiative to create a commission in Denver to study extraterrestrials is once again looking to take off.

Jeff Peckman kicked off his voter education campaign this week for Initiative 300, which would establish a seven-member panel that would be charged with collecting data and research to prepare Denverites in the event of a possible alien encounter. The initiative received enough valid signatures to be placed on the November ballot.  

Peckman yesterday was enthusiastic about raising awareness for his initiative. The voter education campaign seeks to “educate the voters with as many good facts as I can get in front of them when they’re paying attention,” according to Peckman. 

Peckman wants to let people know that the commission would not cost taxpayers anything. He is also looking to educate people about a wide range of issues that he believes are directly related to extra terrestrial visitations, such as clean energy, jobs and environmental health.  

“There’s a great deal to be gained by including the topic of extra terrestrial visitors into those discussions,” he said.

Initiative 300 would create a seven-person panel consisting of volunteers who are “knowledgeable experts” on extraterrestrials. The commission would be funded entirely by grants, gifts and donations, according to Peckman.

Peckman believes Denver is in a good position to lead the country. For one, Denver is closer to outer space than almost any other major U.S. city, he said. 

“This information is going to get out there sooner or later, Denver could take the lead,” he said.

Peckman pulled a similar initiative from the November 2008 ballot after gathering the 4,000 signatures needed to place it on the ballot. He said at the time that he pulled the measure because then-presidential candidate Barack Obama was likely going to become president and would release documents related to alien encounters. But after being elected, Peckman became disillusioned that Obama or his cabinet would have the “will or courage to disclose UFO files,” so he started the campaign again.

“It’s time to go over the heads of elected public servants directly to the voters,” Peckman writes on his Web site. “James Madison, (America’s) fourth president, wrote that, ‘The People are the only legitimate fountain of power.’”

Not everyone in the extraterrestrial community supports Peckman’s initiative. When he was gearing up for the initiative, the Rocky Mountain Paranormal Research Society said Peckman was making a mockery of the topic.

“We tend to approach things with intelligence,” Matthew Baxter, a paranormal investigator with the Rocky Mountain Paranormal Research Society, told the Denver Daily last year. “They would like to get assistance from the government on something the government is covering up.”

But Peckman believes there is support for his initiative, and that it would help convince the American government and the rest of the world to disclose UFO “X-Files,” which supposedly include details of alien encounters here on earth and across the universe. He said last year that six billionaires with an interest in alien issues would line up to show their financial support for the commission.

The Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission ballot initiative is now officially 'Initiative 300' for the November 2, 2010 General Election in Denver. The voter education campaign started Sept. 1. A special
'newspaper' for voters is viewable in a series of articles linked to the EXTRA Campaign web site Voter Education page. An abbreviated hard copy for distribution will be printed soon.

The newspaper includes quotation excerpts from government insiders and whistleblowers about UFOs being real and extraterrestrial intelligent beings visiting Earth. Many well known political leaders and celebrities have witnessed UFOs not from Earth, called for disclosure, or were part of the cover-up. Here is a preview:
