Pair Programming Measured... in 1975... in the US Military!   Message List
Reply Message #125539 of 157782 |
Hi folks,

I stumbled across this completely by accident this morning:

http://www.stsc.hill.af.mil/crosstalk/1996/07/manageme.asp

This is a report entitled "Management Impact on Software Cost and
Schedule". Just past halfway through the report, there is a section
called "Teams". Within that section, there are a few paragraphs about
the "Two-Person Team". Other than the fact that the Two-Person Teams
didn't all work together, what is described is practically identical to
Pair Programming.

The best part is that the productivity is actually measured against
traditional teams.

Have a read - very interesting!
