I'm using Ritek's G04 (Ridata branded) media right now... I've also
got (currently in my possession) Lead Data and Optodisc's. All are -
R media, tried them all and the Apex 703 doesn't seem to like ANY of
them :( I don't think the 812S burns at 1x, only 2x, 4x, 6x and
8x... it will not write at 1x, at least I've never seen the option
for 1x write. I've burned with Nero 6 and I've tried Alcohol 120%,
Prassi PrimoDVD and Stomps Record now Max 4.5. No difference :(

My LiteOn is running firmware US0Q (the latest from Liteon's site).
I don't know how much more I can try. The same disc that the Apex
703 will not read (stops loading or skips while playing), will play
in one of my $29 single disc dvd players in the bed room! :p THATS
FRUSTRATING! but at least I know the disc are ok.

I guess I'll try to keep my eye open for one of those KLH changers.
