Hello,
I have Yamada DVX-6000 DVD Player from Umax systems but I and many
people in Central Europe need small update in firmware. Vendor has
support for this player but he dont want make new firmware now.
This player is ESS based. I have photos on
http://abbe2003.wz.cz/obrazky/dvx6000-a.jpg and
http://abbe2003.wz.cz/obrazky/dvx6000-b.jpg .
So is here anybody who can help me with make hack for firmware,
where we need change characters in codepages? Exactly firmware
support ISO-8859-2, but we need Windows-1250 too.
Hi,
I have flashed version 1.5 (modified) about a year ago on my Yamakawa
780 (i).
As I have a lot of trouble reading disks, sound, startup etc. I would
like to flash it again with the lastest firmware. Only real objective
is that MV can be turned off. Would be nice if it could read DVD RW
though.
Now I wonder wich version to take? Where can I find it? What is this
with the Sampo and Raite you all talk about. Can I use Raite or Sampo
firmware for my player? Can or should I flash the Yammi and my DVD
player and what is the difference? Which one do you recoment?
Help would be appreciated.
Kind regards

No, this isn't true. I have a Sony Clie 615 (PDA) that came with
Sony's Remote Control program. It has a limited subset of what
devices it can control, but one of them is my Apex 703 (listed under
Shinco). The Sony Remote Control program was patterned after the
same codes in their VL700, and AV300, both of which have the Apex
code I use to control my player (code 22). I don't have either of
those remotes but I would suspect either of those would work. Also,
looking at the GE 5803 forum (compatible player, uses identical
remote) looks like Philips PM625S, and it looks like the JP1
compatible remotes can be programmed by the computer to do Apex 703
if the code is not already present on the remote (check out the
yahoo JP1 group for more info -- some of the universal remotes that
have a JP1 interface are pretty cheap).
Apex has not released those codes: they are not
available for universal remote makers to use. W/o it
though, you can hardly use the machine to its full
potential :(

universal remote) for Apex AD-703 3 disc cahnger. I have bought unit

The GE1106P is a completely different player than the 1101P, and the hack
definitely will NOT work. Applying it to the 1106 will destroy the player.
While doing my research for hacks (region and macro free)for the GE
1106p DVD player, I keep seeing that I am referred to hacks for the
GE 1101P. Is this essentially the same model?
I am thinking of opening up the player and see if this hack will
work:

is there a version number on the mainboard?
it sounds like an ESS machine to me, so that in itself is promising.
btw. Hi everybody to whom I have not said "hi" to in a while :)

Hello Everyone !!
I have a teac dv 3000, i flashed it with the shinco generator using
the apex 703 rom, and the code 0f ( cero f ).
So it worked fine, i get the loopholes section and can edit the
region bypass and macrovision protection./
the problem is, a week ago my dvd player stop reading DVD, so it
plays Video CD, MP3, Audio cd's and images as well as usual, but it
can read any dvd. Sometimes the movie shows but it starts to freeze
about 1 minute of playing, and sometimes cannot read the disk at all.
If someone knows what happened please i will appreciate any
assistance.
Thank you and regards from Costa Rica
Yohindel
Ciao,
unfortunately I don't have it in my hands at the moment.
As soon as it will be with me I'll let you know.
Thanks in advance for the interest.
Fabrizio

Subject: [EZ Patch] HELP! Shinsonic DVD-100
I was lucky enough to pick this up for $5 at a pawnshop (broken; I
fixed it. Woo Hoo!). I want to turn off the macrovision, but I am too
stupid to understand this patch thing. Can someone please explain in
plain language if there is a patch here that works, where it is, and
how I implement it? I've tried one from a different website, but I
couldn't get their patch to open up properly. I have verified that I
have the correct chip and so on, so I'm eager to make this work.
Thanks in advance for any help or guidance!

I just upgraded a Apex 500a with the redstar rom. I tried the other
patch and it would not work. Now everything is running fast and with
a higher pitched sound and voice.
Any idea on a next step to fix this?
Thanks,
