Re: The Permbibus...hosting them in Flagstaff...
That is terrible that nobody is sponsoring them
in very liberal, green, pro-Environment
Flagstaff. I attended their great presentation
in Cornville. I have no property here, and I
would highly recommend that they be sponsored in
Flagstaff.
Due to the younger, very liberal, demographic in
Flagstaff (average age 27), the Permibus team
would receive a *HUGE* turnout in Flag ... *IF*
properly marketed. Only 15 attended in
Cornville, but that valley is conservative.
However, remember that Flag is the most liberal
city in Arizona. *IF* that bus was parked in the
right place in Flag (maybe right in the Chamber
of Commerce Parking Lot, or, the City Hall
employee parking?) the seminar would get
*HUNDREDS* of students visitors. And, they would
get their well deserved donations.
The City and Chamber would probably sponsor them,
as they are encouraging new industry in Green
Technologies. As a newcomer here, I have no idea
who to contact.
As for media coverage, the Permibus director
would be a great interview on the NPR station,
and also on NAU's low power AM station AM 1680.
I know a student who does interviews on AM 1680.
I hope something can work out for them here ...
and to inspire citizens of the City of Flagstaff
and Coconino County into Permaculture!
