Hey Folks,
I have a few requests....
1. I am looking for a local source of apple scion wood to graft onto
an old over grown and unproductive apple tree. So if you happen to
have a great apple tree in your yard or know of one that produces
tasty fruit let me know. I only need a few cuttings and I will be
very respectful of your trees when taking them.
2. I am also looking to finally get a worm composting system up and
going so if you have some extra red wigglers around, let me know.
And here are some last minute reminders....
1. It is still not too late to sign up for the either of the two
permaculture classes offered through CCC. The Introduction to
Permaculture starts this sunday at 8:30 at Willow Bend. You can show
up the day of class to sign up if you want. You don't even need money
if do not want college credit if that is a concern (sort of the don't
ask don't tell policy).
2. And if you have not heard, Sim Van der Ryn, author of the classic,
"Ecological Design" will be speaking tomorrow (Thursday) at Cline
Library 8:00 pm. I am sure this will be informative and inspirational.
Take Care...
